Porcelain, Pet-Friendly Grass and a Place to SitGarden Landscaping in Solihull
A Solihull garden designed in 3D first, then built as one job: porcelain paving, a proper seating area, a new garden wall, new fencing and pet-friendly artificial grass that the dogs can run on all year.
- Location
- Solihull
- Scope
- Porcelain paving, artificial grass, seating area, garden wall, fencing
The Brief
A garden for the familyand for the dogs.
The owners wanted a garden they could actually use: somewhere to sit and eat outside, a lawn that would not turn to mud under the dogs, and boundaries that looked as good as the rest of it.
Like a lot of landscaping jobs in Solihull, this one started with a list of things that were not working rather than a finished plan. The paving was tired, the lawn could not cope with daily use from the dogs, the fencing had seen better days and there was no defined place to sit.
Rather than fix each problem separately, we modelled the whole garden in 3D CAD first. That let the owners see the porcelain terrace, the seating area, the new wall and the artificial grass together before anything was ordered, and meant the build went in once, in the right order.
- A real lawn that could not stand up to the dogs
- Tired paving and no proper seating area
- Old fencing that let the garden down
- A layout that needed levels, edges and boundaries sorted together
Before & After
From tired and muddyto finished and usable.
The same Solihull garden before work started and after handover. Porcelain paving where the old slabs were, pet-friendly artificial grass where the lawn used to struggle, and a seating area, garden wall and new fencing that tie it all together.
The whole garden now works as one space
Old paving & a lawn that could not cope
A proper place to sit, eat and entertain
Designed in 3D first
The garden was modelled in 3D CAD before a single slab was ordered, so the owners could walk through the layout, check the seating area and the levels, and sign it off. The finished garden is the design, built.

What We Did
The landscaping,stage by stage.
Design first, groundwork second, finishes last.
That order is the same on every landscaping project we take on in Solihull. It is what lets porcelain, artificial grass, walls and fencing go in once and still look right years later.
3D design & clearance
The garden was measured and modelled in 3D CAD, the layout agreed with the owners, then the old paving, fencing and tired lawn were cleared ready for the build.
Garden wall & new fencing
The new garden wall and boundary fencing went in first, defining the seating area and giving the garden its privacy and structure before the surfaces were laid.
Porcelain paving & seating area
Bases prepared with the falls built in, then porcelain paving laid to form the terrace and the dedicated seating area where the family now eat and relax.
Pet-friendly artificial grass
A pet-friendly artificial grass installed on a prepared, free-draining base in place of the old lawn: green all year, easy to clean and ready for the dogs every day.

Pet-friendly artificial grass
Dogs on the lawn,no mud in the house.
A real lawn rarely survives dogs. Worn patches, mud by the back door and brown spots are the usual result, and in a Solihull garden that is used every day it never gets the chance to recover.
The artificial grass we installed here is a pet-friendly product laid on a free-draining base, so it can be hosed down, stays green through the winter and gives the dogs somewhere to run without the house paying for it.
- Free-draining base so it dries quickly and can be rinsed
- No mud, no bare patches, no mowing
- Clean edges against the porcelain paving and the wall
What the client said
“We recently had our garden done by Rhys and the team and honestly couldn’t be happier with the result. From the start they were friendly, easy to deal with and clearly knew what they were doing.”
“Rhys and the team did such a great job transforming the space. The whole garden looks completely different now and the quality of the work really shows. They worked hard, paid attention to the little details and made sure everything was done properly. What we really appreciated was how approachable and reliable they were. They kept us updated, turned up when they said they would and left everything tidy at the end of each day, which made the whole process feel really smooth and stress-free.”
“You can tell Rhys takes real pride in his work and the team work really well together. The recent transformation of our garden has honestly exceeded what we were expecting. Would 100% recommend Rhys and the team if you’re looking for landscaping and design work done properly.”
The Result
A garden the whole familyuses, dogs included.
Porcelain paving and a proper seating area for the people, pet-friendly artificial grass for the dogs, and a new wall and fencing that make the garden feel finished from every angle.
Designing in 3D before building meant there were no surprises and nothing had to be done twice. That is how Proud Gardens approaches landscaping across Solihull: agree the garden on screen, get the groundwork right, then build the finishes once, properly.
